We are excited to have an amazing facility so close to the CBD. The centre has an abundance of natural light and both indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Everyone who has visited has fallen in love with the space. Regarding our program, Believe Playschool selectively take elements from theories and approaches worldwide. We don’t believe that any one approach is 100% good or bad, rather we adopt what is most effective, appropriate and inspiring.
We focus on communication, self-help, resilience, problem solving, and creativity. These attributes will enable and empower children, providing a solid foundation of life skills. They practice applying these skills at Believe Playschool thereby ensuring smooth transitions into school and community life.
The old school values of respect, responsibility, and safety are highly regarded at Believe Playschool. They help build a sense of community and active citizenship; through communal meals, chores and blended classes, resulting in the development of community, empathy and responsibility.
Using multi-aging or blended classes to promote positive behaviours especially for younger children as they are inspired by their older classmates. This in turn encourages leadership skills in older children. We support children to explore what is right, wrong and fair. They learn to be individuals, as well as members of a community, therefore developing and nurturing what is unique as well as sharing and sociallising through group participation.
Everyone has the right to feel safe, and learn in an environment free from fear and anxiety. Therefore, we have zero tolerance for bullying, violence or any other excessively disruptive behaviours. Families are required to work with educators to change unacceptable behaviours and remove the risk to other children. Ultimately, if the behaviour is not adjusted they will be asked to leave akin to the independent school models. At Believe Playschool children learn about rights, responsibilities, and consequences. They learn to be their best self whilst understanding duty and their impact on those around them.
We recruit only educators who are passionate and genuine in their desire to work with young children. People who will sit and play alongside children, who have the intuition to pre-empt feelings, and develop comprehensive understanding of each child.
Our educators are our biggest asset. We cannot state how imperative looking after our team is. We find these wonderful people and create bubbles in which like-minded educators come together and thrive. With genuine interactions and quality resources, educators can engage meaningfully.
